Light Up Life Up Program

Power cuts can be irksome, but can you imagine not having electricity at all? It is no fiction - lot of villages in India are not fortunate enough to enjoy the benefits of electricity. As the sun sets, they are plunged into darkness. But as they say, tough challenges throw up exciting solutions, and Project LULU was born.

Started as an initiative to light up villages, Project LULU donates solar lanterns to tackle the twin problems of power deprivation and energy consumption. With solar energy being harnessed to power these lanterns, the power problems of villages are addressed through clean and sustainable means.

The 150 families of Dodri in Bihar now reap the benefits of Project LULU’s solar lanterns. We hope these little drops go on to make an ocean in our vision of bringing sustainable energy to rural India.

Dreams Alive is working with other NGOs to find needy villages to help them with sustainable energy.
